Our History.

Winners Society was formed as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) by Alexander Vanderpaul Bonsi in the year 2013 at Gblapedo which is a small village located near the Ketu South Municipal Assembly office premises.

It started with eleven membership with the principal aim and objective of lending support and assisting its members when
they were bereaved.

Other ceremonies during which the organization offered assistance to its members include marriage and child outdooring/naming, In the middle of 2015 the organization applied to the Ketu South Municipal Assembly for a change in its status from a Community Based Organisation to Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO); this was to enable the organization to expand its activities to a wider jurisdiction.Currently the membership of Winners Society is 46. It holds a monthly General Meeting during the last Sunday of every month.


Winners Society is currently a registered Nongovernmental organization founded by Alexander Vanderpaul Bonsi. Its main area of operation is in Ketu South Municipality in the Volta Region.

Since its inception in 2013, Winners Society has been dedicated to promoting various initiatives and providing essential services to uplift the underprivileged and contribute to sustainable development.

The NGO focuses on five key areas to address the diverse needs of the community. These areas include:

  1. Health Care: Winners Society recognizes the importance of accessible healthcare services. They strive to improve the overall health and well-being of individuals by organizing medical camps, providing healthcare facilities and resources, and promoting health awareness campaigns.

  2. Donations: As part of their philanthropic efforts, Winners Society actively collects donations and channels them towards the less fortunate. These donations may include essential supplies, clothing, food, and other necessities, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families receive vital support.

  3. Educational Support: Recognizing the transformative power of education, Winners Society is committed to providing educational support to children and young adults. This includes scholarships, school supplies, infrastructure development, and educational workshops, empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a better future.

To assist and support people and members in the community in healthcare services, education, morally and financially and to also assist and support community farming and finally help the aged/ senior citizens who are 75 and above/the poor and the needy in kind or cash.
